Courage to create the life one desires:
Do you find yourself experiencing regret because you’re not living the life you wanted? Do you blame yourself for the choices you’ve made in the past? One of the keys to staging a successful bounce back is simply having the courage and the desire to simply have the life that you want.
It doesn’t matter what bad choices you’ve made in the past. Bottom-line – Do you want the life you dreamt of badly enough? Then stop ruminating and start taking steps that will make your goals a reality. Go back to your dreams and see how you can achieve them. Don’t give up on them.
Somehow try to honour them and take steps towards achieving them. Start taking small steps in the direction of your dreams even if it is just one step at a time. Don’t lose hope.
Simplify your life and begin living consciously:
Another key to staging a successful bounce back is to simplify your life and begin living more consciously. Simplifying your life ensures that you don’t overwhelm yourself when creating the changes you want. Take a simplified, minimalist approach to your life. Rome was not built in a day. If you want to rebuild your life, don’t try to change everything at once.
Rather, focus on a few key areas and overcome them. And then you can move on to bigger things. When you’re staging your bounce back, it’s imperative that you are conscious of yourself and pay close attention to your thoughts and emotions.
Over the years, one thing I have noticed is that many people (especially women) suppress their feelings and expectations just in order to keep peace with others.They end up settling for a mediocre existence and never blossom into the person that they wanted to become.
This immediately changes when you start living your life consciously with the realization that the choices you make today will directly have an impact on the person you want to be tomorrow.
Be content and happy with your life:
Another key to staging a successful comeback in your life is to be truly content with who you are, where your life is at the moment and where you are headed. Happiness is a choice that we make. It’s not an emotion. Your current life situation may not be something that you truly want and desire.
But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be happy right now. Many people constantly ruminate and tell themselves, “I’ll be happy when I achieve this ___ or when this happens to me” etc. With such thought patterns, you are setting yourself up for a big failure. The only way out is to gather your emotions and look at exactly what you want.
Pay attention to your gut feeling and the inner voice. Listen to what it says. Paying attention to your inner voice and listening to what it says is MORE than enough to help you overcome the emotional chains that bind you and help you move towards the life you want.
