4 Key Habits Everyone In Their Early 30s Should Integrate Into Their Lifestyle

If you are in your late twenties or early thirties, one of the most important things that you need to focus on is your fitness habits. The fitness habits that you cultivate during these years, will ensure that you maintain your health in your later years.

When you get into your forties and fifties, your work is NOT going to get easy. In fact, it’s going to be a lot harder and challenging. And in order to be able to handle all of the expectations and challenges that will be thrown your way successfully without losing yourself, it is important to cultivate a good set of healthy habits in your youth.

With that said, here are 4 key habits that you can cultivate right now to ensure that you stay on top of your game without being affected…

Strength Training Is Your Foundation:

Strength Training is one of the best things you can do for your physical and emotional wellbeing. It not only helps you increase lean muscle mass but also offers a myriad of other benefits such as…

–          Boosting your metabolism

–          Torching calories

–          Keeps your back pain and joint pains in control

–          Strengthens your emotional muscles

–          Increases your energy levels

–          Helps improve your sleep pattern

If there was only one habit that you could integrate into your lifestyle, I’d strongly recommend strength training. Consistent strength training for a period of 45 – 60 minutes 4 – 6 times weekly will do wonders for your physical and emotional wellbeing.

Start Listening To Your Body:

One of the keys to becoming a healthier person is to start listening to your own body’s needs and wants. Most people never really pay attention to their body. And that is the main reason why they suffer from joint pain, frequent injuries, back pain, poor immunity etc.

Practicing Mindfulness is one of the best ways to tune into your body’s needs and wants. Just pay attention to each and every part of your body. Your body will naturally tell you what is right or wrong with it.

Make sure that you direct your attention to your body for at least a few minutes every day to begin with.

Variety Is Essential:

If you aren’t making changes to your workouts or exercise regimen every now and then, you will hit a plateau in no time at all. Performing the same exercise day in and day out will make your body get used to the routine and you will stop experiencing benefits.

So make sure that you are always adding variations to your workouts. Whether it’s running, lifting weights, swimming or squash, change your methods every 2 – 3 weeks or so.

Choose Your Friends Wisely:

I always tell this to my new clients, “Show me 5 of your closest friends and I will show you how healthy you are”. Your health, to a significant extent, is determined by the people that you hang out with.

If you spend a lot of time with friends who don’t engage in any physical activity at all, you’ll end up doing the same. One of the best ways to ensure that you become fit quickly and stay fit is to cultivate friendships with people who have a genuine interest for physical activity.
