Would you like to learn how to double your energy levels, lose weight and amplify your focus?
If you’re like most people who read my blog, you’re definitely experiencing problems in one of these areas.
Either you’re :
- Struggling to focus and get stuff done
- Have poor energy levels
- Find it difficult to lose weight
- Have trouble being consistent with your workouts and diets
Many of my clients have the same issues too and I have only ONE answer for them:
Focus on your HEALTH. Make it a top-notch priority.
Here’s why…
When top-notch HEALTH is your goal, you don’t have to get bogged down by supplements, workout programs or fancy diet plans.
… Because there’s NO magic pill, diet or workout program to improve your OVERALL health. It takes time and you need to work harder in order to become a person of top-notch health.
And the best part about being healthy is that, you naturally experience:
- High levels of energy
- Lose a lot of weight
- Amplify your ability to focus
- And much, much more
There are just a few fundamentals that you need to focus on to become the healthiest person you can be.
Does it take time and work? Yes… but it’s one of the best decisions you can make in your life.
Fundamental #1 – Commit For The Long-Term
When you approach making money, there are two different mindsets that you can operate in:
- Mindset of wanting to make money/getting rich quick
- Mindset of building wealth
The former mindset burns you out because you either don’t make enough money or end up spending all that you make.
But when you approach making money with the goal of building wealth, you end up managing it such a way that it outlasts all your needs in the long-term.
Making money is easy and only requires a short-term commitment. But building wealth requires you to commit in it for the long-term.
The same can be said with health and weight loss.
Trying to lose weight is like trying to operate in the “Make Money” or “Get Rich Quick” mindset – something that does more harm than good.
But when you make HEALTH your goal, it’s a lot like building wealth – and it requires a long-term perspective.
You may not get results in the short-term but in the long-term, you are significantly better off than you started.
That’s how you need to approach this game.
So the first thing you need to keep in mind is to stop looking for short-term results.
Look at activities, plans and programs that you can follow for a longer-period of time – 1 year, 2 years, 5 years and 10 years.
Most people who want to lose weight start off with a highly intense program – because of their impulse to lose weight as quickly as possible.
… But a person with a long-term perspective would start off with a slow intensity program and will gradually increase pace while maintaining consistency.
Fundamental #2 – Allow Your Schedule To Govern Your Actions
Most of my clients are busy individuals with hectic, chaotic lifestyles and almost full-schedules. It’s incredibly easy for them to miss a couple of workouts in a week.
I’m sure you can relate too. It innocently starts with missing 2 – 3 sessions of workouts and before you realize, you’ve missed out 3 – 4 weeks.
When this happens, it’s extremely hard to come back on track.
And that’s where a schedule comes in handy.
When you schedule your workout into a calendar just like any other normal appointment, you are more likely to go and do your workout.
So think about the best time that you can schedule your workout and make it a non-negotiable appointment.
For example, I’ve revised my schedule and made time for 3 workouts a week – Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 19:00 hrs.
I’m not thinking about when I’m going to work-out at the gym next. And I plan other activities and appointments keeping the workout at 19:00 hrs. in mind.
As a result, the chances of me missing a workout are incredibly rare.
Fundamental #3 – Slow Progress Will Get You There
I’m sure you’ve come across some people who hit the gym for a few weeks and begin seeing results almost immediately.
And you ask yourself, “I’ve been working out for this long and why am I not seeing the same results”?
If you’ve ever felt that way, don’t despair. The people who get results quickly are usually those who have a genetic pre-disposition.
Sadly, most of us do not have a genetic pre-disposition that allows us to get the results we want quickly.
Therefore, the only solution for folks like us is CONSISTENCY. You have to consistently follow your plans over a period of time.
That’s when results begin to show.
