Here’s How to Eliminate Any Excuses You Have for Not Being Healthy

If you’ve been working on improving your Emotional and Physical health but have failed repeatedly, don’t despair.

From my experience as a Life Coach, I have found that most people fail not because they lack the motivation, but because they lack the discipline to do the things necessary.

Everybody wants to be healthy at the physical and the emotional level… But they just don’t seem to have the discipline to do the essential things that will get them the result. And this is what truly prevents them from reaching their full potential.

If you’re one of those people with a genuine desire to become healthy but lack the discipline to persist, these 4 keys will help you eliminate all excuses and stumbling blocks that prevent you from leading a healthy life…

Remove Mental Barriers:

Many people create all kinds of crazy mental barriers for themselves to forgo exercise and diet control. They tell themselves, “Exercise is not necessary during youth”, “I will begin an exercise regimen when I am against the wall” and so on. They make it tougher on themselves by setting up these rules.

The smarter way is to begin early and keep things as simple and easy as possible. You can begin a small exercise regimen and slowly build on it overtime.

Enjoy The Process:

Another reason why some of my clients refuse to embark on an exercise regimen is because they dislike the activity in the first place. Since their bodies are physically weak for any exercise at all, they desperately try to avoid it.

And this is where starting small and easy comes in handy. When you start small and easy and keep doing it until it becomes a part of you, your strength develops and you begin to enjoy the process after all.

Apart from that, you can also use exercise as an activity to connect with new people, socialize, etc. This will help reframe your view on exercise and give you the energy you need to make it a habit.

Discipline is non-existent:

Some people come up to me and tell me that they are quite disciplined in their work department but find themselves poorly disciplined at exercise or eating the right foods, I tell them that it’s impossible.

It’s because discipline is non-existent. It’s not something that you do or choose. It’s something that is a part of you.

If you are already disciplined in one area of your life, you can use the discipline to build on other areas of your life as well. Discipline already exists there – only waiting to be channelized towards a better purpose.

Repetition Is The Mother Of Success:

Becoming healthy consists of taking a series of small steps in the right direction. These small steps can be something as small as a ten minute walk daily, taking the public transport to work, using the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.

When you make some of these choices and continue to do them repeatedly, you form a conscious habit which then becomes a part of you on a subconscious level. Once you’ve formed the habit on a subconscious level, nothing can really stop you.

So make sure that you are constantly trying. Obviously, there are times when you are going to fall down and fail. My only suggestion is to not beat yourself to give up, but get up, dust yourself and move on from where you stopped.

Doing things repeatedly is the key in getting to your desired destination and this is something which most of the people do tend to miss.
